Spare time: When I'm not jammin' out with The Dark Sides I like to listen to my cd's and records. I enjoy reading all marvel and dc comics. I finally got the nintendo wii so thats how I get my exercise. I watch a lot of movies with netflix. New movies are always showing up at my doorstep. I also plan on getting in shape so I can get through the setlist without passing out.
History: I really started enjoying music at the age of 13. Aerosmith was the first band that I loved. Steven Tyler also plays harmonica so wanting to be like my hero. I went to the local music store and bought one. It was a Hohner Marine Band in the key of C. Playing the harp seemed to come naturally. The more I played the more I got into the blues. Through the years I would occasionly play at parties and then I put it away for months at a time. The last two years I started practicing a lot. Going out to open mics and jammin' at home just wasn't enough. I needed to be in a band, in fact I couldn't continue to live my fruitful days without my own band. Luckily I have a good friend who knows how to play guitar. (This is where Mark enters this exciting short story) Getting together and jammin one night we realized we both like the same music. Since nobody plays bluesy garage rock anymore we decided that we would take up the torch. It will be amazing. It will be different, and most of all it w ill be fun. We posted a want-ad for the rest of the band online, and what we found was a guitar god who goes by the name of Ben. Digging our music style, he fit in perfectly. In the last year or so we've been getting together and currently have a 20 song setlist we are practicing. So stay tuned for the further adventures of The Dark Sides. You will learn about how Steve started drumming for us. Hopefully all of you who are reading this will be there for our first gig. I promise you we will knock your socks off, so bring an extra pair.
Currently: Playing the legend of zelda twilight princess, trying to get all the Otis Redding, Thin Lizzy, Junior Wells, Kinks, and Byrds albums. Reading a complete run of Batman comics from 1977- 2008.
Right now I'm: About to pass out from a long day of work. Naah, I'll wait until I finish this beer.
